David Adams, Technical Director of Willmott Dixon Energy Services and Director of Zero Carbon Hub. David leads a team of Energy Solutions Engineers providing support and leadership to the Willmott Dixon group including: home low energy retrofit, ECO & Green Deal funding, Passivhaus technical support, Post Occupancy Assessment, Energy Performance Contracting, Soft Landings and closing the energy performance gap. He was the architect of the UK’s ‘Pay As You Save’ low energy home retrofit financing concept being rolled out as ‘Green Deal’ and supported elements of GD development through various forums. Latterly he established the Green Deal Providers Group. To support Zero Carbon homes he was instrumental in the creation of the Zero Carbon Hub and chaired various multi-stakeholder task groups including: Fabric Energy Efficiency Standard (FEES), Carbon Compliance tool review (SAP) and Setting the Carbon Emissions for zero carbon homes. He sits on the Building workgroup of the Green Construction Board and is Chair of the Advisory Board for the London-Loughborough Centre for Doctoral Research in Energy Demand.
