Paul joined Wates in 2006 as a Design manager and was promoted to Sustainable Technologies Manager in 2007.

Paul promotes the green agenda across all areas of the social housing industry. He produced a residents green guide which is given to residents whose homes we work in to help educate them on the impact they have on the environment.

Well-known throughout the industry as an expert on a wide range of environmental issues, Paul has worked on a number of research projects around retrofit including the BRE’s stable block project, 9 of the TSB retrofit for the Future schemes and the ETI improving thermal efficiency of the existing housing stock. He currently leads Wates work on the implementation of the Energy Company Obligation in London and the South.  

Paul is a Director of SHAP – the Sustainable Housing Action Programme and chaired the Refurbishing Britain seminar at Eco-build 2010,he was a major contributor to the Zero Carbon Britain 2030 report produced by the CAT.
